GAZA, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian demonstrators in the Gaza Strip continued on Tuesday their preparation for another Friday mass protests as part of the six-week rally known as the "Great March of Return," which was organized in the eastern area of the coastal enclave close to its border with Israel.

Dozens of Gazan young men were seen collecting used cars and vehicle tires and bringing them to the field close to the fence of the border with Israel.

They said they want to burn the tires and create shields of black smoke between demonstrators and Israeli soldiers to avoid more casualties during the confrontations.

Mirrors were also collected to reflect the sun's ray to the faces of Israeli soldiers and snipers.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Consensus Government condemned the decision of the Israeli army to maintain the instructions for Israeli soldiers to open fire at demonstrators.

Last Friday, Israeli border soldiers shot dead 15 Palestinians and wounded about 1,500 others during a day of fierce clashes.

"The massacre committed by the Israeli forces last Friday was premeditated, according to a plan and orders that were arranged in advance," said a statement issued by the government after its weekly meeting held in Ramallah.

"There are a series of Israeli threats to send snipers and the deployment of artillery and thousands of soldiers who will open fire on unarmed citizens in eastern Gaza Strip," the statement added.

The Palestinian government called for an international investigation into Israel's moves "which caused the shedding of blood and the loss of the lives of innocent citizens."

Earlier in the day, two Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire during clashes in the town of Sebastia near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, according to medical sources.
