Int'l table tennis to be held in Vietnam's HCM City

HO CHI MINH CITY, June 30 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Open Golden Racket International Table Tennis Tournament will take place here on July 4-7 with the participation of over 100 players from eight countries and regions.

The players come from Hong Kong, China, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City Table Tennis Federation announced on Saturday, adding that the four-day tournament is part of preparations for the Vietnamese team in the coming 18th Asian Games in Indonesia.

The tournament's cash prizes total more than 250 million Vietnamese dong (11,000 U.S. dollars).
