The World Surf League logs the biggest market in Australia and the United States with a total of two million spectators, according to Stapelberg.

According to the plan, the tournaments is scheduled to be played in Lombok Island and Nias Island in September next year, according to the League.

Minister Luhut welcomed the plan, pledging to help the establishment of the sport event in the country, a vast archipelago nation with over 17,500 islands.

Luhut asserted that the holding of the planned tourney would help paving the government efforts in advancing tourism sector.

"This is a good idea, this planned world class surfing tournament will embolden recurrent tourism promotion," Luhut asserted.

On the places which are possible to play the event, particularly those which have not been popular, Minister Luhut said that the government has already constructed supporting facilities.

The event, Luhut cited, could be a session for the government to find out talented home ground surfers for competing in other world's class tournament.
