Women's futsal: Japan beat Spain to reach final of Youth Olympics

BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Japanese women's futsal team defeated Spain 3-2 on Monday to reach the final where they will take on Portugal at the ongoing Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires.

In the other semifinal, Portugal confirmed its favorite status by beating Bolivia 16-2.

"We played a great match against a great rival. I think that we had very good team work," said Japanese player Mai Miyamoto.

Japan and Portugal already played against each other in the group stage when the European team won 2-0.
