BUCHAREST, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Wizzair aircraft involved in the bomb threat took off late Thursday from Bucharest Otopeni Airport to Warsaw, the original destination.
It was a false alarm, and no bomb was found on the aircraft, according to the Bucharest National Airport Company.
The Wizzair aircraft, on the Kutaisi-Warsaw route, made an emergency landing on the Otopeni Airport, after a woman announced the bomb threat by telephone at the Kutaisi airport, Georgia, according to a earlier release of the airport authority.
The plane, which didn't have Romania as a destination, parked on an isolated position after landing and the 173 passengers were debarked soon.
A security team of the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) was quickly dispatched to the airport to make checks on the aircraft and the baggages on board.
