RIO DE JANEIRO, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Jair Rodrigues scored in second-half stoppage time as Atletico Mineiro moved to the top of the Brazilian Serie A standings on Saturday with a 2-1 victory at Ceara.

Rodrigues nodded in from a Claudio Rodrigues corner with just seconds left in the match after Atletico's Nathan de Souza canceled out Ricardo Bueno's opener.

The result at the Castelao in Fortaleza continued Atletico's unblemished start to the season as they moved two points clear of second-placed Palmeiras, who won 1-0 at home to Internacional earlier in the day.

Ceara, who were promoted to Brazil's top tier after finishing third in the Serie B last year, dropped to sixth in the 20-team standings.

In Saturday's only other match, Vasco da Gama and Corinthians drew 1-1 in Rio de Janeiro.
